As a Data Engineer at BrainStax, you’ll work on data infrastructures that form the backbone of our AI products and solutions. You’ll build intelligent data pipelines, optimize systems, and ensure our machine learning models run smoothly for our clients. You’ll work with tools like Azure, Databricks, and Terraform and have the opportunity to combine your technical skills with continuous innovation.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing data pipelines for data analysis and machine learning products.
- Collecting and organizing data from various sources, making it accessible for colleagues (and clients).
- Implementing and monitoring machine learning models in production environments.
- Developing and maintaining data infrastructures and solutions.
- Working with Infrastructure-as-Code and Cloud Solution Design within data platforms.
- Collaborating in an Agile team with DevOps responsibilities.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.

What We’re Looking For?
Must-Haves
- A cum laude diploma in Engineering, Data Science or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
- At least 3+ years of professional experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful AI and machine learning solutions.
- Experience working in Agile teams with DevOps responsibilities.
- Experience building data warehouses, data lakes, and/or dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Knowledge of Databricks and the Databricks Lakehouse Architecture, including Azure Data Lake Storage and Unity Catalog.
- A willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new techniques.
- Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure DevOps/Azure Pipelines.
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with Databricks Asset Bundles, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Cloud Solution Design and working with data platforms.
- Familiarity with working in an Agile/DevOps team.
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Experience with source control systems like GIT.
- Experience with Azure environments and related tools.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
